The Mill Arts Centre is a registered charity (No. 1165998) that's been at the heart of Banbury's cultural life for over 50 years. Every year we reach thousands of people — through live performance, creative classes like Creative Café and Dreamers Club, our Schools Programme, and free and subsidised tickets for those who couldn't otherwise attend. The Impact Fund is the flexible money that makes all of it possible.
When you give to the Impact Fund, your donation is used where it can make the greatest difference, at the moment it is needed most. Not every essential cost can be tied neatly to a single project.
Keep the building open, safe and welcoming
Run programmes like Creative Café and Dreamers Club, which give isolated adults and young people a reason to leave the house each week
Keep ticket prices affordable through schemes like Community Connections
Sustain community and artistic activity year-round
Respond quickly to emerging community need
This flexibility is what keeps The Mill resilient. All Impact Fund donations are used to support work delivered in Banbury and the surrounding area. Funding decisions are made locally, guided by community insight, partnerships and real-time need.
Community need does not run on project timelines. A monthly donation to the Mill Impact Fund helps The Mill Arts Centre respond to need as it happens, not after the moment has passed. Regular support gives us the flexibility to protect access, wellbeing and community connection across Banbury, all year round.
Monthly donations allow us to:
Act quickly when financial or social barriers arise
Sustain free and low-cost creative wellbeing activity
Keep tickets and participation accessible during uncertain funding periods
Plan responsibly without losing responsiveness
This steady income is critical to our resilience.
